ANNOUNCEMENT
The spring 2008 Shelly Leibowitz seminar will be March 7th and 8th, 2008!
We are a not-for-profit club dedicated to training in and promoting of dog sports. D.O.T.E. (Dog Obedience Training, Et Cetera) began as an independent group of people dedicated to having fun with their dogs - it is open to anyone interested in training with us - and any breed. We promote interest in a variety of different dog sports - from Conformation to performance events - purebred or mutts.
We train on a beautiful 3 acre ranch in Southwest Ranches, Florida, as our
home base with training sessions also held at various local parks. We also actively seek relationships with other dog clubs in the area so that we can give our dogs the opportunity to work at other fields and for us to learn from other people and invite clubs to come and join us for training sessions as well.
Some of the equipment you will need to participate in D.O.T.E.:
- Leash
- Collar
- Crate (dogs are frequently crated between learning sessions to allow them to rest and absorb the lesson)
- Water
- Toys for motivation (tuggie toys, ball-on-a-rope)
- Treats (diced-up hotdogs for Tracking and to use as motivation in Obedience work)
- Hungry dog (they learn faster if they are hungry)
- Sunscreen/bug spray
- The need to have fun
